London Region Novices Competition
On Sunday 9th July, Melanie, Alex, and Jake all took part in the novice competition in Ealing.
After some intense semifinals, Melanie and Jake finished 3rd in their respective categories. Alex didn’t end up far behind and put up a great fight in the quarterfinals! Well done!
Stay tuned for more information coming up about the Open Air competition on September 2nd!
There will be a dedicated sabre piste for sabreurs this week. And Jon Daley, our Level 4 sabre coach, will be available for 1-2-1 lessons.
Following on from the Beginners’ Course, our next Intermediate class starts straight after the warm-up.
This is FREE to anyone signed up for quarterly fees or £5 (+ guest fee) otherwise.
3 Counties match
We are also at home to Hitchin this week and are currently ranked 1= in the table. If you are available to represent SAFC, let James Bryant know.
And finally, a date for your diary: the Chairman’s BBQ will be held in St Albans on 1st July. Further details to follow.
The gym is closed this week (3 May) so we will be in the White Heart Tap from 8pm instead. Alex is putting a pub quiz together, so bring your thinking caps.
Some of you may have seen a calendar note that the club was going to be closed this week. It’s NOT true. We are fencing 12th April. See you there.
