Booking availability & BF calls for views

Mon.26/10: Booking for this week’s session is now OPEN and will remain so until 23.59 on Wednesday, or until we reach our current covid-restricted capacity of 18 fencers (plus Beginnners).

Additional capacity:
There have been more fencers wanting to train with us over the last few weeks than we can accommodate, whilst adhering to BF Return to Fencing Guidelines (2nd Oct / v2.0). So we are looking into hiring additional space at our usual venue. This could provide us with at least 12 extra spaces, but is not yet confirmed. For the moment, our numbers are still restricted to 18, and places will continue to be allocated on a 1st come 1st served basis, so book early to avoid disappointment. But we hope to be able to have further news before we’re full this week…

British Fencing calls for views:
BF plans to respond to DCMS Call for Evidence on Sport in our Communities: BF invites members and clubs to share their views with BF to help us strengthen our formal response to the DCMS Committee’s invitation for written submissions. Deadline for submission to BF is 12 noon 9th November. Submissions should be emailed to headoffice@britishfencing.com with ‘Sport in Our Communities Call for Evidence’ in the subject title. Members and Clubs are also able to respond directly to DCMS.
