IMPORTANT: COVID UPDATE
In light of the escalating COVID situation, face coverings MUST be worn between bouts and when not fencing. They are not required during warm-up or when on the piste, although you may choose to do so.
Please also ensure you maintain social distancing, when not fencing.
SAFC v HITCHIN MATCH REPORT
Last Thursday, Hitchin came to us for a friendly match. It was equally as close as the away match was, a few weeks ago.
SAFC Foil B-team did really well, winning 6-3. There was at least 1 win for Dan and Sam, with Chris getting involved too on the foil A-team: so lots of newbies getting action! SAFC Foil A-team had a tough run, losing 9-0.
Epee was a close 4-4 until the last match with Ben taking the win making it SAFC 4 – 5 Hitchin.
Final score was SAFC 10-17 Hitchin. We look forward to the decider match soon
Well done to all those that competed, it was great to see new fencers on the team!!!
THE G.F.B.O: GREAT FENCING BAKE OFF
The GFBO is back for 2021!!!!!!!!!! (assuming COVID doesn’t intervene in the meantime)
23.Dec is our final night’s fencing of the year, so we’ll finish fencing half an hour or so earlier, for a social up to 22.30ish.
Fencers are invited to submit a home-made bake of any choice for sharing (and judging, if you wish). Eternal fame and glory awaits.
