TONIGHT’S FENCING – BRING WATER

We’re finally back in the main hall again!!

But with it being so warm, we’ll probably run most of the pistes outdoors on the tennis courts as we did last Thurs and also on Monday.

PLEASE BRING PLENTY OF WATER.

The school’s water fountain has been out of service since Covid, so please ensure you bring sufficient with you.  Make sure you take plenty of breaks and rehydrate between bouts.

SAFC SUCCESS @ LONDON REGION COMP.

Last weekend Bita, Daniel N and Tom attended the London Region Novice & Intermediate Competition

Huge Congrats to Bita (far right of pic) who took silver medal in Womens Novice!!!

Dan N finished 5th in the Mens Novice Foil.  In his second poule he beat three opponents, two of whom were intermediate foilists and lost only to the guy who was ranked No 1 overall and unbeaten.  Well done Dan!

Well done also to Tom H who finished 12th in Intermediate Foil.

MARIA IS FIRST CLASS

Massive congratulations to Maria who has graduated with a First Class Degree in Archaeology.

But if that wasn’t enough, her dissertation has been nominated for two national prizes; the Royal Archaeological Institute’s Dissertation Prize and the Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology’s Dissertation Prize!

We look forward to seeing you back weilding a sabre or epee after you finish exploring Belize.

See you on the piste…. en garde!
