LAST THURSDAY – HITCHIN MATCH REPORT
Cap’n Roseblade forgot to take a team photo so his penance was to have to write this:
Shout out to our 3C team tonight: @Lindsay Bottoms @Iakov Skoblov @Matthew Rose @Lisa @J.D and myself. A knowingly tough opponent in unbeaten Hitchin, we lost 12-6 but with our heads held high. No other team this season has beaten Hitchin on any weapon, but we broke that tonight on epee, securing SAFC a bonus point in the process! Well done team!!👏👏👏
Hitchin are dominating the league table but we’re currently in 2nd place for epee and 3rd spot for Foil.
NEXT THURSDAY – WE ARE HOSTING WATFORD
NEW LADDER LEAGUE RUNNING
New ladder is running until end sept! New simpler rules too: detailed rules are on back of ladder board. In simple terms each person can challenge once per night- including Mondays. You challenge the next available person who is present ONLY. It could be just one step above you or 8. If no one in above you then no fights that night- can’t just jump to top spot! Bouts are to 15 now.
