It’s week 4 for our Beginners and Coach Laura will be taking the group warm-up, followed by group/individual lessons. It’s almost the end of the quarter so make sure you get those ladder matches in,
especially as there is NO FENCING NEXT THURSDAY (14.Dec)
MK MATCH REPORT
On 23.11, three of our intrepid fencers made the journey to MK for our final 3 Counties League match of 2023.
We kicked things off with Foil and whilst a number of the matches were very close, we came away winners 8 – 1.
We didn’t think the epee would be easy and it wasn’t. But again although matches were close (one going to 4-4 and being decided by a priority overtime minute) we also managed to win that 8 – 1!
So overall a comprehensive win: MK 2 – 16 SAFC
A good way to finish the season and whilst our last match is done there are still a few more other teams to play.
As it stands we’re 2nd in Epee, 3rd in Foil and 3rd overall… but that may still change.
CLUB XMAS MEAL Thurs 14.Dec

GREAT FENCING BAKE OFF: THURS 21/12
Our final night of fencing in 2023; we will finish fencing early to end with a social in the hall. Everyone is encouraged to bake (not buy!) something to bring and be judged by our very own Paul Hollywood, Chairman JD Evans and his steely gaze. Prepare to be judged! There may be prizes for baking and other awards.
