A CHAIRMAN’S SEASONAL MESSAGE
2021 has been great. Seriously! It’s been absolutely *** fantastic!!!
And no, I’m not joking. Not when it comes to SAFC.
While the world outside has been in varying states of tumult, and some members have had to weather their own personal storms, fencing at SAFC has been a haven. Somewhere to forget your troubles for a couple of hours each week. (And then go to the pub.)
I can’t thank the Committee enough for their hard work this year, but just as importantly, thanks are due to all our fencers – the club wouldn’t be half the place it is without the trust and enthusiasm of those who have just turned up to stab at each other.
Best wishes to all for the festive season, and here’s looking forward to an even better 2022! 🍻
Thursday 23rd Dec. is our last fencing of 2021.
Unfortunately, due to the wider covid19 situation, we have decided it is safer not to hold the GFBO. So it will just be fencing as normal.
We resume fencing on 6th Jan 2022.
