So last week, this happened… the new club group photo!
Wow… so many people. And some of them are even smiling!
Our new Beginner’s course started and the club has never been so busy!! We’re even considering a second night…
SECOND NIGHT..? GAUGING INTEREST
Due to popular demand we are considering trialing a second night.
We have the option to hire the small hall for a 12 week period on a Monday night (approx 8-10pm, exact times TBC). There wouldn’t be a coach or club-lead warm-up, just free sparring – the club would provide piste equipment.
Cost would be £5/night for members who pay monthly or quarterly, or £10/night for those who pay nightly.
We’d need at least 5 nightly payers or 10 monthly/quarterly members each week to make it viable in terms of covering the additional hall hire cost.
We’re not asking for any commitment at this stage, just gauging the level of interest. Fancy it? Let us know!
WHATSAPP CHAT GROUP
The club’s whatsapp chat group is a great place to keep in touch with your fellow fencers during the boring other 6 days of the week that aren’t Thursday. Also a great source of info on kit, competitions and all things fencing. Something you’re not sure about? You can ask it here.
If you’d like to be added to the group, message us or speak to Bryant or one of the other club committee members at training.
SAFC AGM
The club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Tues. 22nd Feb, from 8pm at the King Harry Pub.
If you can help with running the club or just want to tell us what you think, good bad or indifferent we would love to hear it.
