Instead, it’s the club Christmas Dinner at the King Harry PH.
Drinks for 7pm with food being served from 7.30. First bar drink is on the club!
Fencing attire optional, but no swords please!
LAST WEEK’S MATCH v BEDFORD
We hosted Bedford last week for our final league match of the year.
Bedford are a strong team and vying for top spot in the league, and they were just too strong for us.
Epee was really, really close, and closer than the score suggests. Three, yes three! matches were so evenly matched they went to a final priority minute. Unfortunately, Bedford came away winners 6 – 3.
The foil was a little more comfortable (for Bedford) with them taking that 8 – 1.
So overall a comprehensive win for the visitors – final score SAFC 4 – 14 Bedford.

NEXT WEEK – LAST SAFC SESSIONS OF 2022!
Assuming there’s no more snow, Monday night’s session will run as planned.
Thurs.22nd is our last night’s fencing before the Christmas & New Year break.
We’ll be running the often copied, but never bettered Great Fencing Bake Off.
Bring your *home baked* masterpiece, ready to be judged at the end of the evening.
We’ll finish fencing slightly early, around 9:30 and then have an hour or so to enjoy some nibbles and drinks.
Do try and stay, it’ll be a good chance to get to meet some of the new fencers.
Fencing resumes on Thurs. 5th Jan – we look forward to more fantastic fencing in 2023….!
