THURS. 16/03 – PLEASE NOTE:
We’re in the small gym again this week due to a school event in the main hall.
Unfortunately, this means no beginners course, no coaching, and no group warm-up.
We’re limiting numbers to 24 fencers and we’ll run 4 short pistes, so would appreciate your help by keeping bags to either end of the gym and being extra conscious of those around you, both on and off the piste.
From Thurs. 23/03 we’re back in the main hall so normal service will resume and we look forward to welcoming our Beginners and Coaches back once more.
On 23/03 we are due to have a 3 Counties League match at Dacorum (Hemel). If you are interested please speak to Team Captain Richard R.
AGM ROUND-UP
It was the Club’s AGM on 21.02 and here are some key bits to note:
- We welcome some new faces to the Club Committee: Lisa as our Second Welfare Office and also Social Secretary, and Richard B as club armourer.
- No changes to current fees.
- From 01 April for the next 12 months: Monday nights are FREE to monthly/quarterly payers
- The club will subsidise competition entry fees for new fencers (<2 years fencing). Applies to monthly/quarterly payers, UK competitions only, limited to £100 per fencer, and must enter as an SAFC fencer.
If you are interested in entering a competition, please speak to a member of the committee.
New Club Armourer Richard B has volunteered to do a weapon check beforehand.
